Classroom Technology Support

KU IT Classroom Technology Support provides assistance with audio visual equipment and hardware in classrooms, including troubleshooting and equipment check-out and training. When assistance is needed in a classroom, the technology support staff in your building can be contacted to provide immediate on-site assistance. Our tiered support structure ensures that issues are taken care of promptly with little downtime. The support team regularly maintains and monitors equipment in classrooms to ensure all is in working order for the user. For support info see Classroom Tech Support Overview. For staff info see Support Staff.

Centrally Scheduled Classrooms

KU centrally scheduled classrooms are supported by staff from across campus who are committed to providing and maintaining high-quality learning facilities. This group values and encourages input from students, faculty and staff regarding the spaces and the services provided.

KU centrally scheduled classrooms are managed by the Registrar’s staff under the direction of the Provost. These classrooms are assigned on a semester basis to departments for initial scheduling for classes. Any rooms not filled during the initial scheduling become available for reservation. Classroom reservations for uses such as committee meetings are considered "events" and are made after classes and special examinations have been placed.

Classroom Reservations

The Course & Room Scheduling division of the University Registrar handles all scheduling of centrally-scheduled classrooms. All reservations are subject to existing University policies and restrictions. Visit Course & Room Scheduling » on the Registrar's website for classroom reservation information, including policies, guidelines, room and auditorium reservations, and much more.
